Director and Coach
Hi my name is Kav and together with my wife Zoe, started Little Big Sport in 2011.
Growing up with a passion for sports, which developed from a young age, I always saw my future as working within the sports industry.
Whilst in high school I was chosen to represent my country in Slalom and Giant Slalom snow ski racing (snow) and also coached children in this sport. After high school I Studied Sports Education at University and have gained a number of sports coaching certificates including my Football Fedration Australia football coaching certificates.
In 2005 I began coaching children as a full time job in a variety of sports in different countries including Austria, Japan, UAE and Australia.
I truly enjoying being around children, and seeing them having fun and developing an interest and passion for sports. My belief from the start was that if children enjoy what they do, they will inherently learn along the way, hence this being the foundation of Little Big Sport. I know how much enjoyment young children can get from physical activity, so through my exposure to sports together with the enjoyment I get from teaching others, it was natural for me to become involved in a career where I can coach soccer and teach children to enjoy physical activity.
I still enjoy coaching and try to get around to the venues as often as I can, in between working on the business behind the scenes. I coach throughout the week at some childcare centres, and can usually be found at the Robina venue on Saturdays.
I’m very proud of how far the business has come, with over 2000 children enjoying our program each week, across 3 states.
Manager and Coach
Kav and I started Little Big Sport in 2011 when our son was just a year old, and I ended up joining the team full time in 2012. I have a teaching background – initially working as an ESL teacher for children both here and overseas, and then becoming a full time secondary teacher in Brisbane. I am also a Football Federation Australia Qualified coach.
Now I work mostly behind the scenes, but still enjoy coaching when I can. I can usually be found at a few kindies throughout the week, and at one of our weekend venues. I find coaching extremely rewarding, as soccer is a sport that anyone of almost any age can pick up the basics of relatively quickly. It is absolutely wonderful to see the little ones’ skills and enjoyment developing over weeks and months, and it’s always reassuring to hear the positive feedback from parents and the community.
Hi my names Callum. I moved over here from the UK where I was working as a PE teacher and a soccer coach for Fulham FC. I have over 10+ years experience working as a soccer coach for many premier league clubs in many different countries. My drive for soccer and teaching is the main reason why I continue to peruse a career within this environment. Sharing my experience and knowledge is my passion and I hope to do that here at Little Big Sport for a long time.

Hello Hello! My name is Coach Alex. When I’m not coaching the next generation of football superstars, you’ll find me on the football field improving my own skills. I’ve been around the game since I was 5 years old. I’ve had the opportunity to play overseas against the likes of Bolton Wanderers, Fleetwood Town, and Wolverhampton Wanderers just to name a few.I’m a current University student, Studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education, with aspirations to become a Physical Education Teacher. This is my third year of coaching, and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I intend to challenge all my players and help them become the best possible footballer they can be, by teaching them the basic fundamentals of the game. My favourite thing about coaching at Little Big Sport is the work environment. All our coaches are terrific mentors not just to children but also to us coaches offering advice, and feedback on how we can improve. Just remember to have fun, and always play with a smile on your face.
Hi my name is Lola, I’m 24 years old and joined the amazing Little Big Sport team, in early 2021. I grew up very active, competing in surfing, dancing, netball and basketball. Since leaving school I have been completing my degree in Primary Education, majoring in early childhood. Around this, I have also been a nanny for the past 6 years, constantly surrounded by kids. Coach Zoe happened to stumble upon me in my nannying journey and believed I would be a great edition to the team. I primarily coach our younger kindergarten students, an experience I immensely enjoy. Seeing children’s confidence, gross and fine motor skills grow, playing soccer, along side their constantly smiling faces, makes this job extremely enjoyable for me.
